new hampshire dog-friendly beaches

new hampshire

Despite it's small coastline, New Hampshire's Seacoast region has a couple of beaches that dogs love to visit.  Please note that dogs are never allowed on state-run beaches.

Having enjoyed a romp or two on Hampton Beach on the occasional unseasonably warm winter days (and we were not alone), we were shocked to find that officially, dogs are never allowed on any Hampton beaches!

Rye - Dogs are not allowed on Rye town beaches between 9am and 7pm the Saturday before Memorial Day to the Saturday after Labor Day.  The rest of the year, it's free reign!

Seabrook - Dogs are allowed on leash only in the off-season from September 15 to June 1.

Let us know if we're missing any New Hampshire beaches!  Check out places to stay and destinations in New Hampshire.
