rhode island Dog-friendly destinations

Rhode Island state parks are dog-friendly as long as the dog has tags and is on a leash no longer than 6'.  Follow the link for a complete listing.

Cliff Walk, Newport
You can't beat the views on either side of this famous walkway - ocean on one side, mansions on the other.  Be prepared for crowds though as this is a very popular spot.  Downtown Newport is also fun to walk around.

Roger Williams Park, Providence
Dogs are not allowed at the wonderful zoo here but they can enjoy the main park which includes trails, gardens, and a carousel.

Waterfire, Providence
During the warmer months, 80 bonfires are lit in the rivers of downtown.  Grab a picnic from one of the many great area restaurants and then stroll around the riverwalk. There is often music and other events so be sure to check the schedule.

Do you know of other cool doggie destinations in Rhode Island?  Have you been to any of these places? Let us know!  Post to our Facebook page.
